For over ten years, pelvic and women's health have been my passion, helping people find relief from conditions that are often confusing, isolating, or hard to talk about. After completing my undergraduate degree at the University of Pittsburgh and my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at the University of Delaware, I earned my Board Certification in Pelvic and Women's Health Physical Therapy (PWCS), which covers the full spectrum of pelvic health: bladder and bowel function, sexual health, pregnancy and postpartum care, and pelvic pain. I'm also a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT), trained to support patients through swelling and tissue recovery, including those with pelvic and breast cancer diagnoses.
I went on to lead UPMC's Pelvic Health Physical Therapy Residency Program, and I still teach today as an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Pittsburgh. While I've since stepped away from training residents in a clinical setting, I use those same teaching skills every day with my patients, breaking down what's happening in your body so you feel informed and confident.
I firmly believe that our bodies don't work in isolated pieces, so my approach is about connecting the dots, really listening to your whole story, and building a realistic plan that fits your life. My #1 priority is making my patients feel completely safe, heard, and at ease (and don't worry, we'll keep things fun and light, too!)
Outside of the clinic, I've navigated my own path through endometriosis, infertility and IVF, pregnancy, and childbirth. I know the physical and emotional weight that can come with complicated health challenges, and I carry that understanding into every session, through the ups, the downs, and the “is this normal?” moments of managing pelvic health symptoms. While none of this changes the way I use the best practices to guide your care, I simply understand how important it is to feel like someone actually gets it.
Wherever you're starting from, whether you're preparing for pregnancy, working through pelvic pain, or finally addressing something you've lived with for years, I'm here to be in your corner and advocate for you every step of the way.
